The Eternal Palestinian

< sarcasm >

Well, I've just been flicking through my current copy of Eugenics Monthly, but it didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know:

Pg.1: The Paddies are as thick as two short planks.

Pg.2: The Arabs are habitual liars.

Pg.3: The blacks are after our white women.

Pg.4: Those gooks sure are good at math.

Pg.5: And what about the Jews, still drinking Christian blood after all these years!

I was a bit disappointed they couldn't include any sweeping ethnic slur for the Palestinians, but fortunately Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Ze'ev Boim has stepped up to the plate, suggesting that perhaps a genetic defect is responsible for acts of Palestinian terror. Phew! For a moment there, I was afraid there might have been underlying political issues, requiring mutual understanding, compromise and reconciliation. Thank goodness it turned out to be something congenital instead.

Boim's remarks were disgusting, weren't they? He's since apologized under pressure, but he resorted to the time-honored dodge of saying he was quoted out of context.

Fortunately, many other members of Knesset (including at least one from Likud) condemned him.

Yes they were, but it was good to see a range of people speak up about it, and so quickly too.
