An elderly Palestinian woman on a wheelchair is helped through the mud Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 in the Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, which was under Israeli siege for 7 days. Israeli forces ended a bloody weeklong operation in Beit Hanoun early Tuesday, leaving behind a swath of destroyed homes, uprooted trees and streets muddied with sewage water from pipes destroyed by tanks and bulldozers.
